For the Agar Pond

  • ¼ teaspoon Powdered Agar
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • blue food color as needed

For the People & Houses

Instructions
 

  • First prepare the gingerbread dough recipe (advance preparation is recommended up to a week to get your people & houses cut out, baked & decorated before building the cake)
  • Next prepare the cake recipe of your choice or follow the Gingerbread Cake recipe that I used
  • Prepare your favorite buttercream recipe & build your cake as you like
  • Decorate as shown in the video or create your own unique designs!
  • For the Agar Pond: Combine the agar, water, sugar & food color together in a small sauce pot & bring to a boil over high heat stirring constantly
    Once it boils allow it to cool to tepid, but not so it is starting to set, then pour a small amount into the "pond" section of your cake
