Hi I am Gretchen Welcome to my “Bakery” where I no longer sell actual cakes but I do teach YOU how to make the best bakery style cakes leaving people wondering if you bought it at a real bakery!
I am a Culinary Institute of America graduate with a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts 1997.
I have over 20 years experience in the professional baking industry including 10 years spent as the owner of a bakery in New Jersey.
I sold my bakery in late 2014 to continue sharing my recipes here and on my YouTube Channel
The dilemma I faced with my original (non vegan) website was that I have been vegetarian since 2010 and by 2016 I went total vegan in my personal life.
However my business life was going against my personal beliefs from every angle
And I had been in severe conflict on my youtube channel , website and of course when I owned my bakery by promoting the exploited animal industry with every recipe.
So, I finally “got off the fence” and decided to stop being a hypocrite and follow my heart and soul passion!
